About Australia

Australia is the great southern country spanning over seven and a half million kilometres squared with a population that reaches just above 20,000,000. Seven states/territories make up this vast land mass (the biggest island in the world) consisting of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia, Victoria, and the Northern Territory. On a much smaller scale is also the ACT which is situated in the confines of NSW.

The country is known for its diverse nature ranging from one extreme to the next. Desert, snow, ocean, rivers, rainforest, bush and mountains litter the landscape with their amazing and breathtaking beauty. A variety of historical and world heritage sights may be found in its land such as Ayers Rock (Uluru), The Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree rainforest.
